I expect an arse whipping that is also equally sloppy and boring. I’m guessing it’ll be like 95-68

Alcorn is literally one of the worst teams in the country. It's basically a waste of time to play this game

LSU is currently 38th in KenPom. LSU's highest ranking in the McManiacs era.

We winning by 30+ tonight boys.

It's probably the worst team LSU will play this year.

These are "low reward" games. Anything other than a 20+ point win won't help LSU's resume at all. That's not a critique. Just reality. The most interesting part is to see if LSU can hit some reasonable GOALS (not expectations) in the game.

Offensively

Overall FG% at least 45%
3pt FG % at least 40%
3pt makes - at least 8
FTA at least 20
FT% at least 80%
Turnovers - 10 or (preferably) less.
FGA - more than opponent or, at worst, a discrepancy of less than -7

Defensively

opp FG% less than 40%
opp 3pt FG% less than 30%
oppo FTA 15 or less
oppo turnover - 10 or (preferably) more
oppo offensive rebounding % - 25% or (preferably) less

Those are numbers to look at beyond the raw score.

Probably a good guess. This is the worst team we will have played so far.

I’m bored so looked up KenPom rankings for remainder of OOC at the moment:
LSU 38

Alcorn St 345
Omaha 217
Drake 139
DePaul 112/Georgia Tech 89
Boston College 106
SMU 51
Texas Tech 15
SLU 242
Prairie View 329
Southern Miss 256

I know it has been brought up a ton, but this schedule sucks so you really can’t screw up. If you’re serious about making the tourney, you should take care of business against GT/DePaul and Drake. At BC will be tougher than ppl think, SMU neutral site who knows, then at TT. Next weekend will tell us a lot about this team

I don’t get the SWAC games. It does absolutely nothing for you. If you want to schedule Grambling or southern for some in state money on. But 2 SWAC teams from out of state is just poor and lazy scheduling

Otherwise, I have nothing else to add for this one, everyone has already stated how terrible Alcorn State is.

Just for clarity, we play TT prior to SMU. Both will be considered neutral site games, TTU in Fort Worth and SMU in NOLA SKC.

ETA: I got distracted and typed the wrong thing. My bad.

At least the conference has enough good teams to provide enough quad 1 and 2 games. I don’t think the conference is as good as last season, but it will have a lot of teams in the tournament most likely.

Im pumped i got tickets to the Drake game this week. Will be in that area for thanksgiving so I'll watch us win one of our tougher OOC games.

Drake through TT is a legit stretch of games, probably better than any OC schedule so far under CMM.
