I probably watched this special a hundred times when I was a kid.
Looking back, Townsend had some heavy hitter on this:
Wayans family
Tommy Davidson
Robin Harris of Bebe Kids fame.
David Alen Grier
We used to sing the Prince McDonalds song from Tommy Davidson's standup. "She forgot my motherfricking fries."

Reminded me of his comedy from 1987, Hollywood Shuffle. It has some pretty hilarious bits.

My brother and I loved Robert Townshend back in the day. I don't know who's dick he didn't suck, but he just kind of dropped off the face of the earth.

I believe he mostly works behind the scenes producing and directing and most of that is for the BET crowd, not mainstream audiences.
