Why on earth do some of yall want dillingham so bad.

It would be a massively underwhelming hire. One playoff appearance in the washed out little 12, and an unranked current team does not qualify you for the job at LSU.

Took a dead program to the playoff in his second year and went toe to toe with Texas with a much inferior roster.

Had a tom of success as an offensive coordinator at Oregon and Auburn. Young, passionate guy, seemingly has a personality that would fit the fanbase and culture. He would be a great hire

If you take out the talent pool, which is a massive component to being successful at LSU, what makes LSU so elite? You guys are delusional. He would be a great hire.

He is young & very successful offensive mind.

His team isn’t as good as they were last year, yet he still beat current #6 Texas Tech earlier this year

Arizona State was a dead program when he took over, got them to the playoff in year 2 while having to flip the entire roster.

Now he's about to win 9 games with a backup qb who was terrible before Dillingham got him.

He's great at identifying talent and roster building and was a badass offensive coordinator in the past.

Is that how low our bar currently is that we are impressed with a big 12 team that auto qualified by winning a terrible conference?

He’s currently unranked with a loss to Mississippi state… this talk needs to stop. Hopefully there are adults in charge. He’s not ready for a job of this caliber.

Because he's a good coach that turned Arizona State into contenders out of fricking nowhere.

Last year they were picked to finish last in the Big12. Dilly Dilly and Chef Crayon laid waste and almost beat Texas in the playoff.

Granted he's not the type to eat grass, kill a kid, or attempt to "exercise" with a board member's pregnant wife, so I see the lack of enthusiasm.

You clearly don't understand hiring football coaches. A guy who does way more than he should be doing at a particular institution is exactly the sort of coach who is ready to step up in weight class. Dillingham, Matt Campbell, etc. They are great coaches. It's the model that got you Nick Saban and Les Miles and 2 national championships.

He’s done nothing to show he’s ready for a job if this level.

He will struggle to relate with players here. He did not play college football. His record when you dive into it, is not that impressive. People forget how bad the big 12 is now.

Agreed. Dilly has had literally 1 good season as a head coach, in only 3 years. He's not ready for the SEC.

Losses in 2025:

Miss State
Utah
Houston

Hell, Fritz at Houston has a better resume and just beat Dilly head-to-head. In ASU's house, no less.

His name shouldn’t even be thought of for the job, I’m tired of seeing it.

That’s one more than what BK got us. Millions for nothing.

And he’d be so much cheaper than Lane.

I guess Georgia screwed the pooch when it hired Kirby Smart...
