Thats bait. My wife has said she doesnt want me to solve every problem and often just wants me to listen. Thats very hard for me!

Yes clearly if the man was doing what he was supposed to do then he wouldn’t prefer to live on the roof, because she wouldn’t have to fuss at him for not doing what he was supposed to be doing.
Clearly it’s his fault, and he is a victim of his own circumstances. She just happened to be there and has nothing to do with any of it.
