Has it ever occurred to people that the real problem is the demand?

That the only thing cutting supply does is increase the prices making it more lucrative for the black market?

50 years of the drug war and not a single victory. Just wasted money and resources while turning cops into the bad guys because they are stuck enforcing laws based on social acceptance.

It'd be nice if this shite actually worked, but it doesn't.

I don't disagree, but in the meantime this looks to be a logical, common sense solution to disrupt the supply chain.

You think there’s a chance you will wake up tomorrow and say, “man, you know, I really wanna get my hands on some Fentanyl today”?

You mean you want to increase prices making it a more lucrative business for those involved.

We've been doing this shite for 50 years. It doesn't work, it wastes a shite ton of money and resources and has negative social effects on top of those created by the drugs themselves.

I'm forced to choose between people who want to give out needles and people who think they can just shut shite down even though it's failed for half a century.

No common sense approaches.

Nope.

I'm also not going to wake up tomorrow and say "Man, I sure would like a beer or some alcohol today" either. And despite the fact it kills many people and so forth, I still don't think it should be illegal, nor do I think we should go around killing people and putting them in prison to stop it.

As a struggling/recovering/failing/repeat, alcoholic, I don't hate the supply is problematic...

It’s killing over 100k Americans per year. If you have a better example of something that needs to be eliminated from the supply chain to drastically reduce or eliminate the demand then I’m all ears.

Except it's not problematic, it's the opposite of problematic.

You know what is hard to buy at 3am? Milk.

You know what is easy to buy at 3am? Anything that is illegal.

All you can do is eliminate the demand and remove the negatives around it as much as possible. And you do that oddly enough by making it legal.

Not to be confused with the leftist approach which tries to create more addicts and customers.

Now if you see someone high on the street like in videos, they should still be arrested and removed from the street. And they still need to follow the other fricking laws as well. If they are out there stealing copper and shite, throw them in jail where they belong. And this whole idea of giving them free needles and shite, frick that.

But if someone wants to get high on it, then whatever. You can't stop it. The drug war failed, we tried this shite already.

Has this approach been tried in other countries? What country has the best approach to drug addiction problems?

I don't watch TV at all. I don't even do social media. I don't like podcasts either really.

I don't like politics and all the who did this and what gossip crap. But I do enjoy discussions about civics and what the functions of government are supposed to be.

Bitches about an action but does not provide an alternative. So ace, what's your solution?

Look at the cities that have decriminalized drug use, is that how you’d like to live? Sorry man, I’ll never agree with what you’re saying.

It worked here better than the drug war that started in 1970 has.
