This is an all time fall off to irrelevance. They went from the best SEC game of the week for most of life to third rate B10 games.

So sad. I loved watching the big game of the week on CBS. That theme music was a staple during football season. These days I forget they even show football on Saturdays

What were they thinking overpaying the Big Ten for third tier rights? Why did they try and underbid the SEC?

USC/Penn St last season might be the only CBS Big ten game I've watched more than a couple minutes since they demoted themselves.

CBS is just fine. Thanks for your concern.

That theme epitomizes college football:

I'll always remember through the 90's and 00's when they'd broadcast the Sun Bowl on New Years Day and laugh because they'd use the theme song with Verne and Gary calling a Fresno St vs Illinois game. Now it's every week.

CBS will have a de facto playoff game next Saturday.

Baffling how they didn't get Iowa @ USC at 330 instead of it being on BTN

ESPN was desperate for a money maker so they overpaid for it. This cable tv model wont last much longer though it will probably go to a PPV type deal for everyone.

It is surreal seeing Danielson and Nessler calling the meaningless, unwatchable Purdue Rutgers type games they’re calling. It’s pretty sad honestly.

I've watched a few minutes of it and you can tell that they're bored out of their minds.

Does anyone have the before/after rating impact? It has to be a spectacular fall. The matchups are shockingly boring week after week
