Video shows how your typical LEO interaction goes

quote:
When the Columbine Valley Police Department (Colorado), using their dystopian flock surveillance system, saw a green Rivian truck driving down the same street, in the same town, 20 times over the course of a month, they became suspicious. But even more suspicious than that, the driver of the Rivian truck was a woman with blonde hair... So when a $25 package went missing from a porch in that neighborhood that the blonde bandit was driving her 70 thousand dollar truck through on a daily basis, it obviously must have been her. At that point the government did what any good dystopian government agency would do, they sent a rude, bald member of their goon squad to the woman’s front door to lie to her; gaslight her; and threaten her.
Lucky for the citizen, this was all recorded on her door camera
quote:
"You know why I'm here," Columbine Valley Police Sgt. Jamie Milliman said to her. The interaction was captured on her doorbell camera.
She felt she was already guilty in the eyes of the police.
"You know we have cameras in that town," Milliman said. "You can't get a breath of fresh air in or out of that place without us knowing, correct?"
It started as an attempt to confirm whether Elser's truck, a green Rivian, was the same vehicle seen driving through the town of Bow Mar, and quickly escalated.
"It went right into, 'we have video of you stealing a package,'" Elser said.
Milliman showed her photos of her truck entering and leaving Bow Mar and that he had video of her committing the theft.
"Can I see the video?" Elser asked.
"If you go to court, you can," the officer replied. "If you're going to deny it, I'm not going to extend you any courtesy."
This is the SOP. They give you some basic evidence on the exterior of the situation. Then they lie and claim they have direct evidence of you committing the crime. When you ask to see THAT evidence, they say they will only share if you admit to the crime, otherwise you have to go to court to prove your innocence.
The LEO was disciplined, but only because the citizen had it all on camera. Without the camera, this would be reduced to a report written by the dishonest LEO and it would protect him fully.

Why people have allowed the government to live that wet dream is beyond me.

Just read any thread implying how dangerous America is today to see how the people who promote those lies have permitted that dystopian reality.
Fear is a powerful emotion.
Fear-based thinking is extreme emotional thinking

Spoken like a typical lying defense lawyer.
The most immoral collection of scoundrels in our society.

Agreed, which is why it was disheartening to see how GWOT helped usher in local police departments procuring military grade vehicles and equipment, to keep you safe.

I absolutely agree the manifestation of fear was and has been strategic in the government effort at removing liberty from the populace.

I've had one bad experience with LEO in 60 years.
And plenty of opportunities to meet them.
This isnt "typical."

Anecdotal much?
Most lawyers hate law enforcement. I wouldn't expect one of the worst lawyers to feel any differently.

The way so many cops feel comfortable talking to law abiding, decent people like they’re total pieces of shite is insane

I’ve had mixed, but typically more good than bad. The overarching point of guilty until proven innocent has definitely become more prevalent over the last 20 years.

If you read, it's not shocking to learn that guy got fired from another agency. LEO are like football coaches where you can be terrible at your job and have permanent job security to always find another job.
