Nobody is going to step up and say a name on here. Some people might have their opinion, but they're too chicken. To say it.

You hit the daily double—misspelled both his names.

Josh Heupel.

Only reason you would disagree is if you find Kiffin attractive….

Objectively Heupel is better

Kiffin is a good coach, but his hype is completely overblown imo. He hasn't made a cfp yet and has multiple games where his team underperforms. He had a team in 2024 that completely failed when they should've been a top 5 team. Making him the highest paid coach and giving him a very advantageous deal is very risky. It could turn out great, but it could easily bite LSU/Florida in the arse. Just like the Brian Kelly deal did to LSU. I think LSU can get a quality coach without selling their soul again.

How is he any more available than most other coaches? I like Kiffin, but Josh Heupel is just as good as Kiffin.

Kenny Dillingham over Heupel. If Heupel is so lazy that he weighs 350+ lbs, I can’t imagine him having a burning desire to succeed. Yes you can infer someone’s work ethic from their weight. Dillingham is hungrier.

The fact that you’re that convinced Heupel is better than Kiffin is what makes me auto reject your opinion.

Josh Heupel.

Josh Heupel isn't available.
Best AD in America. A chancellor who will beat the NCAA in court for him. One of the top NIL collectives in the nation.

Why would he leave? Money? Tennessee has more money than LSU ever thought about. LSU is begging taxpayers for Kelly's buy out. UT is doing a $337 million renovation on Neyland, and not a single taxpayer dollar spent.

LSU can't outbid Tennessee. UT can beat anything you can offer and not even have to beg their multiple billionaire donor base. They have the money.

Kiffin is the best offensive mind available and would ignite the fan base (at least initially), but while Kelly wasn’t making much of an effort, he was 2-2 in his four games here against Kiffin.

I'd be just fine with Kiffin, but can you give any evidence to support that assertion? Heupel has made the playoffs already, and still has one of the best offenses in the SEC this season despite losing his starting QB right before the summer. Objectively, he's as good of an option, if not better.
