Hypothetical. Baker vs Golding for DC?

Who is the better DC for LSU?
I think whichever coach we get, one of these two will be the DC.
I know Golding gets a lot of hate but he does fare better vs Running QBs.
I also think Baker may take Tulane HC job if that reality happens

If Lane comes here and it costs a lot of money, LSU might try and get him to keep Baker. Reminder that Baker is only in year 2 and this is the first year with more talent.
I think Blake should be retained, but someone on the staff needs to be good at stopping running QBs.

It takes athletes to stop running QBs. Our LBs aren't athletic enough to do it. I will grant that assignment football is also critical but that took a blow when Whit Weeks went out. You have to admit it was noticeably worse since Weeks has been out.

Golding is in Oxford because of his wife and family not Lane. Rumor has it he wants to stay.
Not sure if he is one of the assistants that said but being reported that several staff members have let Lane know they prefer to stay in Oxford over Gainesville.
Golding could be a HC candidate should Lane leave.
