The West seeded its own destruction with foreign aid

Historically speaking human population growth worked like this.

Communities and civilizations that were thriving grew in population. Those that were struggling did not. This is pretty much a self balancing, self correcting system.

The West experienced a massive unprecedented population boom over the past few hundred years thanks to major advancements in agriculture, nutrition, health care, medicine, technology, etc. The population growth the West had was organic and earned.

At some point the West looked at the third world with pity and had the brilliant idea to start just blindly dumping massive resources into it to "help" them. With extra resources available, the third world population also began rapidly booming. The issue is this population growth was not organic. These populations only exist because they were artificially propped up by resources they weren't themselves capable of producing.

The aid didn't solve poverty. It just turned 1 million poor desperate people into 10 million, and then 20, and then 30, etc.

We took ineptitude and failure and poured gasoline on the fire to the point they are a threat to consume the whole world.
