A 74 year-old coach? Really?

While I 1000% respect Saban's legacy and impact, I'm really not on board with a geriatric coach that loathes the new world of NIL college ball.

This is how college football works now... and I think a younger, hungry coach who embraces this new reality is what we need. The old farts don't get it.

Downvote me into oblivion. Good night!

If he were to come which I don’t know if he would then that tells me they have discussed how nil will be handled and he will have the structure and team set up to handle that to where he can just coach is my guess

Most people don’t believe it’s going to happen.

Paterno had 3 - 11 win seasons with top 10 finishes and 2 Big Ten Championships after the age of 75 and before the playoff system.
Patfuscious say...It ain't the age of the dog in the fight, but the fight that's still inside the dog!

I don’t think we’re going to have to worry about this because Terry isn’t going to let him, but the idea it would be anything but a miracle is laughable.

Two or 3 years, finish up with the Natty in Nola, then hand it off. I don’t even think Deboer is that great of a coach but he’s winning with the foundation CNS built just like Les.

DaBoer is following the best there is to ever do it. That’s a tough ask for anyone

He's on track to get the Tide into the playoffs in his second season... so he must not suck...

While I don’t believe he is coming, I would absolutely welcome him back! It’s true he doesn’t like the NIL, we have some people in place that can handle that part for him now there more known about how to handle deal with it. I believe that coach Saban is most likely a smoke screen. But not sure who whom

You’re telling me that you DON’T want the greatest college football coach of all time on our sidelines? I don’t care if he’s 150, if he has the energy to coach again, then I damn sure would rather him be at LSU than anywhere else.

He inherited a playoff team and hasn’t done shite yet. They’re lucky to only have one loss to a shitty FSU team, also. The jury is still out if we are being honest with ourselves

Obviously this whole scenario is a pipe dream, but If you think the greatest coach of all-time would be an issue even at 74

Every recruit and transfer portal player would be lined up to play under him.

This statement says all you need to know about the OP. Guess that 74 year old coach left a bunch of 2 stars when current bama coach walked in
