If tweet fails to load, click here. Cousins: "It was time 5-6 years ago. Especially New Orleans. You go the games there's 36 people there... court side's $25. ... Blow it up move on...there are no fans."
Lou's response about New Orleans: Says New Orleans doesn't "look like a basketball town." "I've yet to play in front of a great crowd. I played 17 years in the NBA. ... Love the city's culture, it doesn't look like basketball is that. The Saints are up the street... no problem with their fanbase."
Lou's response about Memphis: "Personally, coming from Memphis, they need some bright lights. ... This is a basketball thing that needs to be figured out and you will see the fans back in the seats."

ignorant lines.
no fans should show up when we have our 7 pouty arse stars on the bench in street clothes for 5 years straight.

Just move to Memphis to Nashville, they would kill it there
New Orleans should probably move to Las Vegas, I don't think Gayle cares if they are any good or not. The longer she keeps the franchise the more valuable it becomes.

January 18th 2018...
When Pels had shite to cheer for.
Full House on a Thursday.
Boogie tears his achilles
Hasn't been much of shite to root for since.
Blame fans.
There are no fans?
There were 17k watching your arse lay on the floor.

Have you been to a game the past couple of years? It's pretty bleak, understandably so because the owner is trying to run the team into the ground.

Even as shitty as the Pels are, they still ranked ahead of the Grizzlies, Kings, Pacers, Clippers, Wizards, and Hawks in attendance last season

Fans show up to Pels games when the team is winning. I was at the home opener this year and it was a great atmosphere.
The pelicans don’t have the history the saints have with the city of New Orleans to where people will show up even when they’re losing. And unfortunately the pelicans do a whole lot of losing.
I’d be ok if they left if we got an NHL team.

He's mad because he played himself out of 30 million dollars by thinking he was worth the max after tearing his Achilles. Blender was packed and loud for that sweep against the Blazers but he was skipping the games because he "grown".

The Pelicans chose quite possibly the gayest name possible. Blow it all up.

I'm meh on the name, but the color scheme is dogshit and played out. No Mardi Gras color scheme as your main colors is a crime.

Demarcuis Cousins is an emotional lesbian whos still upset the Pelicans wouldnt throw him a max after tearing his Achilles. that was his last possible pay day.
then he goes to the KD Steph Warriors and doesnt win a ring
New Orleans can support a team. look at this energy from that 2015 series vs the GS Warriors
before they blow a 10 pt lead in the 4th quarter

Ain’t no hockey fans in our area lol
That would fare even worse than the Pelicans

because Nashville supports the Titans so well? Nashville is a transplant city. Look at how well the Hawks do getting fans to their games (poorly). That's what you'd see with Nashville having an NBA team
Memphis does fine with getting butts in the seat when they're winning. They just haven't done a lot of that since the mid 2010s

Never take business advice from guys with nicknames like Boogie and Sweet Lou.

Those Grit-N-Grind playoff years in Memphis were hype af. Zach Randolph and Mike Conley magic.
