I need something to listen to

Audiobooks are what I’m doing mostly these days because I’m in my vehicle or various places where I can get quality time to listen and I can also get through more titles. I still read a lot at night but during the day I would rather an audiobook.
Not a big fiction guy anymore but occasionally I will indulge. And I always have two or three listening or reading at the same time so it can fit my mood.
So a few I’ve listened to recently are:
Sword and Scimitar
Defenders of the West
The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich
Bonhoeffer
Go Flight
The Millionaire Nextdoor
Supergut
Factory Man
Dopesick
The Least of Us
My Fathers Brain
Dreamland
Danger Zone
A Force So Swift
Where the Bodies are Buried
Bloodlands
Love Thy Neighbor
All Rick Bragg books
So that’s a few I’ve gone through recently.
I need a dozen more non fiction books. I use Libby and I also buy audio books.
Thanks

I've enjoyed these California wine country related audio books. I got them on Spotify, but I'd guess they're available most places:
Reflections of a Vintner - Tor Kenward
Napa at Last Light - James Conaway - part of a series, but I think this is the only one was able to find.
Judgment of Paris - George Taber
A Tale of Two Valleys - Alan Deutchman
I guess it depends on how much you like wine or have been to Napa/Sonoma.

One of my favorite historical epics of all time and a great audio is Conquistador by Buddy Levy. Really fascinating. I also love the Hardcore History podcast series by Dan Carlin. That used to be free. Maybe you can find it on Spotify or Itunes. Undaunted Courage about Louis and Clark is also a must listen.

Empire of the vampire by series by Jay Kristoff is very good..well narrated not by AI voice. The series is Anne Rice Interview With Vampire meets Brandon Sanderson Book Of Kings.
I am on the final book of the series right now Empire of the Dawn.

The Bernard Cornwell Last Kingdom series is on audiobooks and it’s fantastic. Also his great Arthur trilogy. If you want historical fiction.

Based on your list, I think you might like these.
The End of the World Is Just the Beginning by Peter Zeihan: A geopolitical forecast detailing how the collapse of the US-led global trade order will cause widespread resource shortages and conflict across the globe.
Dopamine Nation by Dr. Anna Lembke: A neuroscientific exploration of modern addiction, explaining how the constant pursuit of pleasure leads to a higher set point for pain and misery.
Outlive by Peter Attia, MD: A comprehensive, science-based guide to extending human healthspan by proactively preventing the four major chronic diseases of aging (heart disease, cancer, neurodegeneration, and diabetes).

I like Peter Zeihan. I read Accidental and Absent Superpower. I haven’t read that one so I’ll get it now.
Thanks.
He worked with George Friedman at Stratfor. Friedman started Stratfor at LSU then moved to Austin and took a lot of forecasters with him.
My father was an acquaintance of his and he apparently or allegedly wanted some seed money support from LSU and they weren’t willing so he moved it to Austin.
I think I’ll listen to Dopamine Nation first. But I normally have two or three going at one time.
I’m listening to An Unfinished Love Story by Doris Kearns Goodwin about her husband Richard Goodwin and his 1960’s speech writings. Great work.
Also have Lights Out by Ted Koppel someone here suggested.
And just finished Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxas.
One I bought a few years ago and have listened to several times is The American Story: Conversations with Master Historians.
It is a series of interviews by David Rubenstein of mostly historical authors and who they have written about all live at the Library of Congress.
That’s a great listen.
Thanks.

Right now, I'm enjoying Caesar: Life of a Colossus, by Adrian Goldsworthy. Caesar is usually depicted as either a hero or villain, and this book goes beyond that to show us a picture of the man and his time.
It's almost 25 hours to listen to, and I am only in Chapter 4 out of 28, but it's really good so far.
