Ski trip ealy in 2026. This group will be looking for a steakhouse , high end experience. Good Italian fare is also a possibility.

a 2 hour drive in Montana is like a 5 hour drive in Louisiana. Look around. It's beautiful.

During a ski trip in January. They get off the mountain at 4pm, leave their hotel at 5pm when its dark and drive 2 hours in the dark and snow? eat for 2 hours, then drive back from 9-11pm in the dark and snow?

The taco truck in the ace hardware parking lot.
Riverhouse is popular, but I’ve found it to just be okay the times I’ve been.
Blue moon bakery is a locals spot and has good pizza; I always go at least once while there.
Thai basil is good if you like Thai.

ETA my reading comprehension sucks. I see now where you’re looking for a nicer place. The nicer place I went, Bucks T4, is now closed I believe.

As mentioned, great pizza at Blue Moon, but is more of a to-go deal. If you're looking for more upscale, sit-down, try Ousel & Spur.
