Why can't Bills be single issue? Why do we allow so many things in one bill?

You see it every time. Right when a bill is about to go through language is added that bans or adds things.
The current budget bill is being held up because it bans hemp. The bill itself was delayed because of how convulted ACA funding is.
. How come bills aren't just single issue. Vote on a single law. If you want to add a law or remove an item it needs to be a seperate bill.

It's part of the shell game that politicians run.

They could be, should be but won’t be. They can’t make a stand alone bill saying that a NGO owned by elites need funding to be able to wash money for kickbacks

Because politicians use big bills to weasel their pork products into the legislation. It has been a problem for a very long time. That is why one of the few smart things that the founders of Confederate States of America did was to make every bill a single item bill and give the executive a line item veto.

These idiots can’t pass a budget every so often, you think those lazy fricks can pass single issue bills?
Budget bills and campaigning. That’s all they do.

Single issue legislation is the way is it SUPPOSED to work - they had to come up with the 'omnibus' scam so they could wait til the last moment and slip in all their kickback bullshite and blame the 'other side' if anyone objects.
It is the ONE thing I'd love to see implemented - single issue. PERIOD.
Take a moment to decide if it is a worthwhile item to fund and then do it & move on to the next item.
But that would make it harder to cheat - and "We have to pass it so we can find out what's in it" would become a rallying cry for "NEVER AGAIN!!!" attitude.
