It might be in our interest for media outside of our borders to flourish since the U.S. media is not trustworthy.
Just a thought. This might not be the worst thing in the world.

I get your point, but the BBC is no better than our media- in fact, it may be worse.
They ran a doctored speech from Trump recently. It was immediately caught and the original one shown in a side-by-side comparison. After much pressure, they fired the guy who made it and ran with it.

They are not funding the BBC and your chart isn't a chart of BBC funding. The BBC's funding comes almost exclusively from a licenses fee that TV owning UK households must pay.
The cart you posted is what historically been called the "BBC World Services Trust", now called Media Action. It is an independent non-profit that promotes fact-based journalism in emerging markets. The grant from the U.S. was largely used to get around censors and broadcast native language news in Iran and China.

It’s their international charity project:

Looks like they bring media to people around the world that otherwise would not have access. It’s not BBC “proper.”

horseshite. If they were actually totally separate, BBC wouldn’t be the branding for both.

Looks like the always-under-the-radar Swiss elites and UN are up to their eyeballs in financing the BBC operation.
"If it walks like a duck" -- the BBC is the EU Media Flagship of the "Mockingbird Media". It's function is catapulting 100% pure propaganda, gaslighting the public into collective fear and subjugation, and ramming their One World Babylonian Govt down everyone's throat.

They are worst than Pravda.
The BBC are even bigger liars and propagandists than US Mockingbird Media.

I like how you posted a fact based reasonable answer yet all downvotes. This board needs to do better.

Nope, what I posted is correct. The US does not fund the BBC and the chart is not of BBC funding.
If you would like to know what Media Action does here are their annual reports. .
Personally I think providing fact-based news to places like China and Iran is a good thing. It sure pisses off those authoritarian regimes.

So gracious of USAID funding the BBC with our tax dollars.

Believe what you want -- BBC financing sources are a shell game by design.

They are not actually. It is very easy to find out how the BBC is actually funded and what they spend the money on.

It's their advocacy arm teaching liars in other countries how to gas light their citizens.
