Lindsey Graham says it's happening today...

Based on what? Seems impossible to open today.
Even if the Senate passes a new bill, the house still has to vote on it. They are not even in DC

I think everything is aligning for a compromise the week of the 21st.
Guessing we get one year extension on subsidies, and probably some full appropriations bills are passed to remove all leverage from Democrats for a year

Hasn't the House already passed the CR? If so, couldn't they open it up by pasing the CR in the senate, along with promises on some subsidy extensions?

They could in theory, but the CR is only good to the 21st. Pretty sure the Senate said they would amend the date if they pass a cr and send it back to the house

All prologue to 2026 midterms. The Dems are playing long ball.

Market seems indifferent to shutdowns tbh.
OP was right though, looks like the Senate will come to an agreement.
Guessing the shutdown is over by end of week at the latest. House just needs to come back in session and pass it. Bet they vote on it Wed
