It may not be a popular opinion, but the reality is our defense was shredded once again by running QBs. He has improved our defense, but it's nowhere near where it needs to be and I'm tired of settling for average. We're LSU and the defense needs to bring fear to our opponents and now they welcome us with open arms! Not acceptable!

Baker has NO IDEA how to defend a running QB. It's remarkable really.

Fear in opponents is such an overused term. No team is out there shitting in their pants out of fear.

And yes, can we get a head coach first?

the only running QB this season that had success against the defense while Whit was on the field was Trinidad. i would say it is difficult to stop a running QB when your best player and middle linebacker is not playing

I wouldn’t be upset if our new coach brought in his own guy.

No doubt he'll be gone. I'd bet anything he already has a job lined up.

You miserable people have to be constantly trying to fire somebody. Good grief.

Every school's defense has trouble with running QBs. Nothing new.

the new coach should not have to keep anyone
complete autonomy should be given to the head coach to make the crucial decisions
and moffitt was not the sole reason lsu didn't work under Kelly

Lou Tepper > Matt House.

It's a hill I will die on b/c it's can be proven with statistics.

Total Defense national rankings in their 2nd year...
2025 - 36th - Baker's 2nd year
1999 - 42nd - Tepper's 2nd year
2023 - 108th - House's 2nd year.

House was so much worse b/c we had a great offense. 1999 offense might have been the worst Offense LSU has ever had, and the Defense was ALWAYS on the field, but somehow still were 42nd in the nation.
