They have exactly one year to ram through legislation to fix this mess. If tonight is any indication, Congress won’t be fully controlled by Rs after midterms. At best we keep the senate by a slim margin due to favorable map.

Time to get rid of the filibuster and stop playing games. Get it all fixed and now and maybe the positive results will come in time to save the midterms. We aren’t losing because we went too far right. We are losing because the do nothing republicans suck at having power and doing what was promised on the campaign trails

I fear we are too far gone. 42 million on SNAP. Foreign born are taking over major cities.

Thank God I live in Florida.

So you thought the GOP was going to flip NJ, NY, and Virginia. Whatever it is you are on, please, keep it away from me.

It’s infuriating. The GOP tries to paint the left as weak soyboys and republicans as the party of real men. And republican voters largely are. But GOP representatives are not. They are weak and spineless

Serious question: What did you think was going to happen tonight? All these places are blue and went for Kamala. None of them were even that close in 24.

Dude man up and calm down. Did you think a GOP was going to win in deep blue/fed workers VA? Or did you think they were going to win in NYC? Come on bro you can be that dumb

It's an off year election (done to keep turnout down) and it is in very blue states. It was always going to go blue tonight and liberal media will proclaim a "referendum on Trump" even though these outcomes were determined before hand.

Not really but the returns aren’t even close. It’s a resounding defeat. Even in blue areas, margins matter. Trump lost both states by 5% 51-46 in 2024

Both R gubernatorial candidates will lose by double digits. That’s a sharp shift back to the left

This night is a referendum or snapshot if you will on where the country is.

A year from now, it will be a bloodbath for Republicans in the midterms.

People are pissed off all over the country.

Republicans will always piss down their leg when it comes to governing.

If they spend the next year continuing to blame DEI and Biden on issues, midterms are over.

As long as the economy is OK, I think it will be fine for Rs. If not, then I agree with you.
