Anyone else at least think this is somewhat interesting and cautiously optimistic that it could work? Verge has been around forever and formed relationships with everyone-is it so horrible that he finally be promoted?
The collective burning alive on this board right now is exhausting.

But i dont blame anyone for trashing this move considering we just fired a qualified AD with local ties and a 6m buyout ….for his lifer deputy that has been passed over 2-3 times for the job already with baggage. Think about that.

Idk how to explain this to someone to whom it isn’t already obvious.
Everything is playing out exactly as expected since Landry popped his head out. We keep hoping to be proven wrong, but this was all predictable.
People aren’t reacting to Verge Ausberry.
People are reacting to the last two weeks holistically.
Small chance we come out of this smelling like roses, but if we do it will have been luck.
A month ago, there was no one on this planet not named Verge Ausberry who would have advocated firing Scott Woodward to replace him with Verge Ausberry.

Yep, governors political hit is complete. Its obvious woodward wasnt fired for what has happened. Its because he doesnt get along with the governor

I believe Verge was hired because he is a company man. LSU did absolutely zero search for an AD. I mean nothing. LOL, no they picked the puppet they can control. That is why he is in charge. They didn’t go look for a strong AD with a lot of experience.

Scott Woodward fired Brian Kelly.
The governor thought this was grounds to fire Woodward, if you buy that.
We have now replaced Scott Woodward with his less qualified subordinate, while we have a vacancy at head ball coach.

In less than 5 minutes you can click my post history and find me losing my shite over the stuff Landry said previously.
But that also doesn't mean im going to choose to melt down over a president I know nothing about, just because Landry may have wanted him.
Im also not going to shite on the AD choice for the same reasons.
I'll wait to see how the hire is handled, as well as other stuff that goes on and decide how I feel about them once I have actual reasons to feel a certain way.
