He’s been here through all of the ups and downs.
He knows what championship football looks like, he won 2 SEC championships as a player.

I'm with you. Verge just wants LSU to win, he's not looking to be the show. He'll work hard and get these coaches everything they need to win.

That’s my take.
Nothing I’ve seen from verge seems like he wants to do LSU intentional harm. People act like he’s some DEI guy from nola political circles.
Seems to me to be an old ball player who cares about the bringing the best product to the field.

I think it's a good hire, he knows what to look for in a great head coach.
