How does that affect his buyout? He is rising up the betting odds for it.

He’ll probably want to settle at like 27m

I would be shocked if he went to another high-pressure situation. But that’s definitely more his style and location.

Pedo state has no expectations. He can win 9-10 games a year with that soft schedule and be fine

If by some miracle he gets that job im pretty sure all earnings offset the buyout. But I could be wrong

PSU didn't fire James Franklin to hire Older White James Franklin.

I don’t know. If they were happy with mediocre, they would’ve stuck with Franklin. I definitely don’t think Penn State is a laid-back job.

The buyout would be offset by his earnings, I believe.

If that was the case, they wouldn’t be looking for a coach

my guess would be if we settle on a lump sum he gets it all. if we keep paying him his earnings from PSU would get deducted. I hope I am wrong on first part

Huh? They just fired Franklin for basically doing exactly that.

This is Franklins record the last three years. Franklin went to the second round of the playoffs last year. BK has never sniffed it.

2022: 11-2 (Won Rose Bowl)
2023: 10-3 (Lost Peach Bowl)
2024: 13-3 (Won Fiesta Bowl, Lost Orange Bowl)

I don't know how any program with championship expectations would hire him after watching his 3+ years at LSU.

BK probably would have had the same record coaching at PSU with that soft big ten schedule yearly. Then lose every big game he played in like Franklin.

Kelly may take the job of the guy that takes the Penn st. job. But Penn st isn’t hiring another coach that couldn’t win the big game that’s just like the one they just fired.

His $800k per month buyout salary is reduced in kind by any salary that he is paid for other work.

It's in LSU's best interests to either come to an agreement on a negotiated short-term buyout (shortened term, lump sum payment, etc) OR for Kelly to get market rate for a new coaching job.
