Judge asked to force the administration to make full SNAP payments

A Rhode Island federal judge was asked Tuesday to force the Trump administration to pay full SNAP benefits during the government shutdown, a day after the administration said that it would pay only half of the costs of those food stamps for November.
Lawyers in a court filing said that the administration’s decision to pay partial benefits out of a contingency fund did not meet Judge Jack McConnell’s prior order that any decision to make partial payments “cannot be arbitrary and capricious.”

Hopefully the judge asks the plaintiffs how the government can pay an $8 billion bill with < $6 billion in contingency funds?

Upcoming is the rant by the usual suspects about how the judiciary is pushing the bounds of their duties and abilities by directing the executive to act on what is under the executive branch with funds that can only be set aside by the legislative.

Why doesn’t he just order Schumer to vote for the clean CR?

Maybe they can ask the judge to force the Democrats to vote to end the shutdown. While we are at it, issue an order forcing Joe Biden admit he is a crook. We can all play these games.

This is the fight Trump wants

No standing.
No judge anywhere has the authority to enforce this.

True, but it's never stopped them before. Trump would be forced to get a TRO stopping the order. All these liberal judges do is try to delay, because they know they can't legally stop it.

Never change! The judiciary is just sooooooooooooooo ethical, completely nonpartisan, and just!!! The law is sacred and all that practice it should be held to a higher standing!!

So a federal judge can order to pay, violating the constitution? So take the ruling and use it to bypass the useless congress. It seems like a cause and effect thing to me.

Can he order the Feds to print more money?

This is really the answer. All these judges are trying to “order” Trump, but not congress, as if congress isn’t the real problem.

Give them an inch and they want a mile.
Exactly why I didn't like Trump giving half.

OR simply ignore it.

Yep, but he would probably go the legal route.

Don't give them any ideas.

Just like the founding fathers envisioned it.
The judicial branch of government needs an enema.

The legal route would not having a judge trying to force it illegally as the government spending is turned off by the legislative branch

the ole downvote and scram.
I really shouldn't take the time to do this, but there is actually a good reason for the "downvote and scram" that you pointed out. Please see Proverbs 26:4 for the explanation as to why you're not getting many responses.
