Can we end the Saban as AD stuff

I just can’t see Saban organizing the diving coach, track coach, volleyball, softball meetings to discuss various things. AD isn’t just football. No way he incresss his work load at his age.
Now on the other hand as the HC. He would be able to draw ANY assistant he wants to groom them and get them ready. I’ll take that for 4-5 years and then the GOAT can ride off into the sunset as probably the ONLY HC to have a statue at 2 schools.

In this new World of sports you could have other people underneath him(theoretically) in the athletic department handling all the small time consuming stuff like organizing and have him show up to the big events speeches and negotiations.
Win win for everyone.

AD might appeal to the control freak in him.
As a coach he would still need to have to deal with the NIL/portal stuff and I think that would be the problem.
Nobody will admit this but a big part of Saban’s success was connected to the way he got players and held onto them. Basically he cheated at recruiting better than anyone else and was willing to go farther. Hell, he was able to pull 5-star recruits who were basically NFL ready coming out of high school AND get them to stay at Alabama for five years AND even get them to sit on the bench for some of that. Gee I wonder how he did that?
However he did it, the NIL/portal broke his system. I don’t think he has an answer to that and won’t be the same without that advantage.

Saban took a 5-6 MSU team on pretty severe probation to 9-2 (10-2) record in 5 seasons.
He took an LSU program that won it’s last game with an interim HC (Hal Hunter), but was 6-15 in the prior last 21 games and promptly went 8-4 and a Peach Bowl victory, SECCG winner and Sugar Bowl victory in year 2, NC winner in year 4.
Every top program was paying players. He’s just tGoat CFB head coach. The last week of all the plant baws dismissing his accomplishments is mindless nonsense.
