Lack of a pass rush!

ESPN Nex Gen stats just showed two stats about the Rams this past Sunday.
Sustained blocks for 2.5 seconds 83% of the time vs. Saints.
Best pass block win rate in a game since 2022.
Chase Young isn’t the solution to our pass rush problem. Pass rush is the biggest issue that needs to be addressed in the offseason. Immobile QBs have all day to throw against us.

Obviously, he's not the only problem.

He’s more of a bandaid

Saint DL as a whole is subpar and it’s killing the whole defense just like the Saint Oline is abhorrent and likely 75 to 80% of the reason the offense is failing.
This defensive coaching staff claimed they mold their defense to the players they have in rosters strengths. I don’t really see that happening. On the line at least. When the edges have to drop into coverage they look lost most of the time.

If they had some good pass rushers, Kool Aid would be looking like an all pro.
So would Taylor, So Would Sanker.
A pass rush would drasitically help this defense.

Agreed. Kool Aid may look competent with a good pass rush. That’s about as complimentary of him as I could be currently.

Chase Young is the only one producing from our edge rushers in recent weeks. Granderson got off to a hot start but hasn't registered a sack in 5 straight games. Cam is just old. We need some fresh blood but I don't trust the front office to draft a competent edge rusher in the first round.

Saints D line is looking like the best in the NFL today

Right; only seven sacks today.

What game were you watching? They tore it up today

The one from November 3rd, apparently.

Over the last 6-7 weeks the Saints defense has been damn good.

The most expensive FAs are QBs. DE's and WRs.
We need two of those and the draft is the least expensive way.

I think Perkins from LSU will or can be a better NFL player than collge guy. Like binoto the broncos pass rusher. I see him similarly.
