What’s the timeline for the AD hire?

I’ve hear it reported that the AD hire will be the last one, with the President being announced Tuesday, and the HC the main focus after that.
But there have also been posts on this board saying that the AD hire is crucial to lock in the next HC. So which is it? Anyone know if a definitive timeline has been announced for the AD?

It doesn’t make much sense to hire a coach before an AD to me.
In a functioning department you would think the it’s being built by vision of the person on top.

I’m not sure how you can hire a HC before an AD.
There is time for LSU to do this in the proper order: Pres, AD, HC.
Hopefully this BoS hiring committee and Ausberry are doing the leg work vetting candidates and gauging interest so the new AD can hit the ground running when hired.

Unless they are hiring a big name coach and letting that coach pick who he wants as AD. Could be like a package deal

This would be stupid. The AD’s primary job at this point is fundraising. College Football coaches generally know jack shite about that.

I'm not sure if its true, but it has been posted here that AD hire requires 45 days of advertising? If that's true, we really can't afford to wait 45 days to get an AD then look for a HC, everyone else will have raided the available coaches.

That’s a stupid rule if true. You’re telling me if you know who you want to hire and have an agreement in place that you would have to wait 45 days to be able to actually make the move?

At least half this board thinks the only important job of an AD is hiring and firing coaches, with football and basketball being the only ones that count.
