Looking at coaches records

Kelly .71
Silverfield. .69
Kiffin. .68
Lea .40
Golesh. .59
Sweeney. .78
Satterfield. .58
Key .62

I realize there's a lot more to it than the raw numbers, how a coach is trending, recent performance, ugly losses (aka kellyATM ) vrs close losses, but .70 amounts to 8.4 wins a season .78 is only 9.4 wins a season.

That won't cut it at LSU.

So no matter who we hire we are pretty much demanding that they perform better than they ever have.

So LSU should demand an incentive heavy contract.

Is there anyone who is a sure thing? Someone that won't get fat and lazy like Orgeron did?

He'll also fake heart trouble at the first sign of adversity and save us the buyout.

TBH if it came down to it, I think Golesh would do very well at LSU or UF

You think his coaching style would still be effective amid the transfer portal and NIL?

Yeah, I agree. There's a hand full that might do very well.

Do not want Urban.
The guy wins championships but then fricking ditches schools with no notice and leaves them in flux.

Not a fan of that.

This doesn't really mean much. 8-4 might be good at one school but is terrible at a place like LSU

The correlations you are attempting to make through win% at other schools

Me neither, and I don't think he'll be able to get the job done now with the transfer portal.

Ok boss, I've read enough from you to respect your opinion. How do you measure a coach?

Serious question. Does any coach at a P4 school ever coach to the end of their contract? It seems like most either move to another school or get fired.

Maybe you should read the parts you left out.

Regardless - I doubt if LSU would tolerate a coach missing the playoffs due to a last second/overtime loss very many times.

Does Kelly get fired if the team was more competitive and looked sharper or was it 3 losses?
