He is not my first choice but maybe the best choice after the past couple days

I’d love it. We’d get made fun of at first, but I think it could be a home run if he hires the right staff.

Because he’s an lsu guy?

I don't think any questions whether or not he'd take the job, just whether it's in the best interests of the program and the answer is a resounding no.
Whoever is coming in for this job needs to have years of experience in navigating everything off the field.

Can we realistically avoid paying $9-12m/ year?
1st time HC should be cheap or no?

I would be ok with hiring him actually. He’ll probably keep Frank on staff too.

Young, successful as a defensive coach & I at least know LSU will have a tough team every year.
If Coach O can be successful here, then so can Shep

You know, honestly it could work out. I'd still rather not take the chance.

I posted a few weeks ago that he'd be a pick for me.
Could be a sneaky great or terrible hire, but he checks the boxes so far.
He was on staff in 2020 FWIW

Yeah I could think of 5-6 coaches I’d rather have, but just not sure how many we’ve scared away

If everyone else says no, get him an all star staff to support him and let’s roll.

so risky, could be great, could be horrible. Aaron Glenn shows the risk.

I’ve already said and will say it again, once you get past the big names there are two guys I’d be fine with LSU hiring. It puts them well down the list, but I wouldn’t melt if it were either of them.
Charles Huff and Kelvin Sheppard.

Maybe one day after he has some head coaching experience, but we're in a very delicate spot right now where we can't take a big risk after everything that has transpired.

Interesting seeing some LSU fans want to hire what’s basically our version of Marcus Freeman after all the visceral Marcus Freeman hate on this board the last four years.

UCLA experiment 2.0. I’m gonna go with Vegas on this.
