Landry’s failure to articulate is the biggest failure here.

He’s over the target and a war against money in the sports entertainment industry is one that needs to be fought. Not just nationally but globally, business interests are stealing sport from the people regardless of where you look.

Ordinary working people have less access by the day while generational support has provided the foundation on which the modern monstrosities have been built.

His quack-like approach to this is discrediting a very VALID argument. There is no sane world in which a college football coach should be guaranteed 10million dollars a year based strictly on past performance.

He can’t articulate because he’s retarded and doesn’t give a damn about LSU.

So we are for a social-democratic economy for college football? Forget capitalism as long as muh football isn't interupted?

100% correct.

Nobody will ever confuse Landry with Winston Churchill. He's definitely rough around the edges. But, he stepped up to get involved when Woodward refused to fire Kelly. Woodward had hired Kelly and didn't want to admit that he had made a mistake.

Both Kelly and Woodward needed to go. Landry got that part right. Now, let's see what happens regarding their respective replacements.

He’s got a point about the insane contracts and all but he could have just kept his mouth shut until after the coaching search was over, if he felt he must express his opinion publicly.

why

I agree with the Landry can't talk part. It's painful to listen to him speak.

That train left the station, cat is out of the bag. Money rules the day. Get on board or be fine with not having a winning college football program. It's as simple as that.

You think the "target" for the Louisiana Governor is the sports entertainment industry?

Never mind, we are one of the poorest, least educated states, with people fleeing left and right. Let's focus on this distraction!

Don't get me wrong, I think the whole NIL thing is out of control. I don't disagree with the issue (for the most part). But the man seems to be governing by what grabs headlines.

Why did he make a public statement regarding ticket price increases?

And why has he called bullshite on lopsided contracts that leave working people on the hook should boosters not be game to cover these insane buy-outs?

Strange hill to die on for an institution and for constituents that you supposedly care nothing about, no?

I do believe it is easy to feel like he is attention seeking, and that is largely to do with his methods and messaging which prompted this thread.

If you do not believe that the bubble will inevitably burst I cannot help you.

Our stadium is empty more than it is not these days, think long and hard about that.

The cathedral of college football, where the vast majority of parishoners who built it brick by brick cannot even attend.
