It would appear that LSU is hiring a new AD very quickly

And it appears to be Georgia's Josh Brooks.

Multiple people have indicated that this was the target, and a chartered Jet flew from Athens to Hammond today, with Hammond being Brooks' hometown. I'm not normally into the flight tracker, but this seems too specific and obvious.

If Brooks is willing to leave UGA and come here, even being an LSU grad, that would indicate to me that candidates aren't as scared of this job as sportswriters have indicated

If he leaves that stable of a situation to come to LSU, I think that can all but kill the talk that LSU's value is down because of Landry

I think the boosters WILL get whoever they pay for, but attracting an AD like this is a great sign that what the public perceives isn't necessarily what's going on internally

Flight tracker

This flight today is awfully specific, and Brooks has been mentioned by several. I don't think this is a coincidence

Oh also, the flight never left Hammond. Brooks is from there

I think behind the scenes things are more stable.

Our football team looks happy. It only took firing BK & Sloan. That transition looked smooth. I’m hoping similar like that is behind the scenes for AD search.

oh btw Landry needs to sftu

Having a sitting AD and president (elected Tuesday) and all of a sudden things don't look so bad do they?

All that would be is the big money guys establishing who the real swinging dick in the room is.

Next step would be a private meeting the the AD and Governor to make it perfectly clear that he doesn’t run shite and to keep his mouth shut.

I do too. Landry might think he can tell these guys what to do, but the reality is most of the people paying these contracts also funded his campaign. He's in no position to try and boss them around.

Way too many people are being emotional about this whole saga. We're getting a new president next week. And if this is true, we're getting a great AD not long after. How does this make this place a dumpster fire?

I don't know Josh, but know his wife. She is a year older than Pete.

If all this smoothly comes to pass, and it feels like we’re on stable ground, then I would agree - LSU would hardly be a dumpster fire, even if the governor keeps inserting himself into the conversation.
