As Woodward exits stage left, Landry can kiss his political career goodbye.

He better hope by some insane miracle LSU lands the dream coach and AD that are attracted to this dumpster fire, but I don’t think it’s coming.

Woodward will land on his feet elsewhere, but I feel that Landry just nailed the coffin shut on his political career. When LSU fans awaken to the effects from all this banana republic boondoggle, that should about do it for his chances in the future.

Don’t mess with things you know very little of like running an athletic program the likes of LSU. Dumb decision, especially when you have to run for reelection. It’s all on you now.

Woodward was alway tied to his “whale” BK.

Why is there so much good boys club going on here ? Did we want SW to hire James Franklin or something

If the new A.D. and a new coach coming in put LSU football back on top -this will all be forgotten.

Don’t worry! Jeff has a great plan to replace Woodward with the SELA athletic director!

I have absolutely no confidence in that after Landry’s comments on compensation.

People see this circus, and they will distance themselves from it at all cost. You see it as another day in Louisiana. They see it and say no thanks

Why. Who the heck ties up the organization you work for with such a rediculous contract with no escape clause for failure? That is the problem with academia making up these contracts all over the country. Something has to give. Plus didn’t The AD not back his basketball coach in the manner that Alabama did? I think Florida was the first with these stupid contracts when they hired Spurrier which in fact worked out for them at that time. But how many failures across the country since? Many

This seems like a might big IF at this point. It sure who’s lining up to take either of these jobs at the moment. Maybe some more Mcneese State clowns

This man not only aired laundry on television, but publicly threw the Athletic Director under the bus, as well as called out agents, namely Jimmy Sexton, who represents coaches, and yes, Student Athletes, who he also has influence over.

Dumb As Dirt.

Landry is an egotistical a-hole just like all the MAGAs seem to be. Hey look at me...we have all the answers and everyone else is stupid. Having said that, I have no love lost for Woodward. Hiring Mulkey was a layup. Ray Charles wearing sunglasses on a moonless night could see that as a good hire. Johnson had already won a NC at Arizona so hardly an unknown. Now the bad hires...obviously Kelly didn't work out and McMahon will not work out. And the NCAA had him running for cover in a corner with their threats if he didn't get rid of Will Wade. I'm not even a Will Wade fan but LSU should have stood up to the NCAA like Tennessee and everyone else has lately. Woodward should have told the NCAA "see you in court" if you try to put us on probation. Other schools have done that.

Beam up, Scotty! I'm sick of his big contracts. Don't give a shite where he went to school BTW.
