None of these people see the irony in begging Trump for a handout one week after holding their no kings rally.

Really disappointed that Landry said Louisiana is covering SNAP for basically all people who were enrolled while the shutdown drags on. I think only 50,000 of the 800,000 will miss out.

To his point, it *should* be a state issue. There's zero reason for the federal government to be involved with providing assistance for low income people.

If it was they (The States) would probably be a little more diligent about whom they approved.

Nah, they'd just run up big deficits and then cry to the Feds for a bailout. It'd be the same system with more steps, let's not pretend like the people working in state govs are any different than FedGov workers...

It’s incredible all these people living in deep blue cities controlled entirely by democrats for 50 years complaining about the cost of living and somehow think it’s republicans’ fault.

Yeah, kinda hard for the GOP to be the source of all of the "community"'s ills when they've been under D Party control since LBJ.
One would think that if liberal, Democrat policies were the key to utopia like they sell during election cycles, at least one of them would've been able to make it work in practice. Yet they are batting O-fer.

Reminds me of when I was 14 working in bossier at a convenience/gas station.
A certain cross section of Americans would begin pumping gas, walk in and give the cashier $2 and say “pump 7”, then walk out real fast. By the time they get back to the pump, it was at $15. Then they’d yell ‘you didn’t stop it’, put the pump up and haul arse. Many moons ago

I assure you that some are still doing that where they could get away with it.

I bet when the alternative is a hard days work versus sitting at home collecting "they check", they'll take the path of least resistance every time.

EBT became criminal under Obama/Biden. I have volunteered for meals on wheels and other places. The 65 year olds that didn't have 2 million dollars 401Ks and live off of their SS and several PT jobs, needed EBT-at times to get them through temporarily and they were told no-or got $30 a month.
Meanwhile, I have been told-factually-that white trash Tammy and others in projects and housing have had up to $3000 on their EBT cards w/ cash available. As they drive home in their Escalade with iphones, high end bags to watch judge judy all day in their free crib.
We are broke for also being the sugar daddy for undocumented democrats.
I thought Ben Carson would fix it. If he can't no one can. The truth is, it is generational freebies now and they may burn things if the freebies go away.
How about trade schools within the projects?

Either we pay the price of discipline or we pay the price of regret. Discipline weighs ounces, while regret weighs tons. Some must have the regret forced upon them before they become disciplined.

My hope is Trump reimburses only RED states!

Not sure how you motivate folks to go straight when they've been raised in a subculture that lifts up lawlessness, materialism and lack of initiative/personal responsibility.
