He left the team with some good players.
Team still has alot of talent except OLine.

So that's at least one positive going forward.

He left the team or LSU got talent that happens to be here when he left?

I think the OL problems have much more to do with coaching than talent. If we had someone in place that could actually coach these guys, I think they could be pretty good.

The team is a more talented one than he inherited. I don't even think that's debatable.

More talented bc of him or just bc it’s LSU? I probably didn’t write it very clear the first time

Was it less talented because of O or less talented because of LSU. You could do this shite all day. frick him but the program is in a better place than he found it. Period.

The rest of the season will tell that.

And what guarantee is there that this talent will stay here?

This isn't circa 1997 where a coach can leave and you just kinda assume all the players will be back.

You are clearly not grasping what I’m trying to say. Did LSU return closer to the norm, talked to talent, because of Kelly or bc it’s LSU and the depleted roster was just an anomaly?

IMO, spot on. Are all these OL really horrible in talent. Weston Davis...former A&M commit....Echols...former A&M commit...Mubenga and Chester highly recruited. Did a ton of schools miss on all these guys so badly that they are liabilities in college OR has the coaching to get them up to college level been lacking. I agree with you and think it is the latter.

Brad Davis is crap as an OL coach. One of Kelly's biggest mistakes was keeping him from the Orgeron staff, bit my GUESS is that Woodward stuck his nose into that decision due to Davis taking over for Orgeron.

Oh my bad I clearly grasp it now.

Your opinion is that any dude can just flip a light switch on and talent will come here because WE ARE LSU. And when they don't come it's an anomaly. I get you now!

It's OK to point out the positive things he did here while still holding the opinion of "frick that guy".

On paper, these guys are still highly rated. I think we see a resurgence with Atkins calling plays.

The RPO shite wasn’t working

I still believe the OL can turn around with good coaching. It's not like we recruited no name players. These were 4 and 5 star players that had offers from many to schools.

The first thing would be to have a QB that can scramble and take some of the load from the OL.

OL showed they can run block when we give them more rb carries. Scar, vandy, ole miss rb avg/ carry was good. We just stop doing it. Pass block, we need some tackles or for ours to develop.

Adams, echols, curne, Davis isnt a bad core for new coach to start with. Solomon t, few others as well. If they stay

Definitely. Not to mention, they were not coached as well as the ones Miles and O left.

Then why was his first team his best? Are you implying his selected coaches were the problem?
