I mean the guy is almost 74. We will be right back in this same position looking for a coach in 2-3 years

He instantly makes LSU a top tier team for next year. He will get the performance out of all of the talent there.

His con is that he probably won’t coach but 4 or so years.

That’s kinda the intriguing thing. Saban can hire a top Coordinator with the opportunity to be HC in waiting.

Stop with this nonsense of a 10 year plan. You automatically put LSU in the playoffs each year he’s here. You absolutely make it happen if it’s possible.

In theory, this could work. His coaching tree is impressive. But none of them ended up the HC at bama. They still went out and hired a guy from the PNW with no ties to Saban, which was odd.

I think Kelly left the program in a little better place than where O left it and I would rather we go young with this next hire.
Let Saban enjoy his retirement he doesn't need the grind at that age.

If LSU managed to get Nick Saban to return as HC, everything changes overnight.

Can we PLEASE stop with the Saban crap. Dear god we look like such simpletons even saying his name. He left us high and dry and then came back and went to our most hated rival. Have some damn self respect. Jesus Christ like a bunch of street beggars or cult followers.

Plus the man has stated publicly more than once he’s staying retire no matter the number.
MOVE ON it’s been 20 damn years. Dear god

Saban is 1000% the answer and can and will hire coordinators to take over when he’s done. It will be just like what happened when he left except we will have more retention and promote within. It’s his processes, detail, and standard that we want implemented more than anything.
