Or did his Sunday backlash to his boss seal his fate no matter what?

If we lose a close one there likely isn't a meeting.

If he just admitted Nuss was hurt he'd still be here. He'd get a pass on struggling with a backup QB.

No. If it was a close competitive game it would have meant the team hadn’t quit on Kelly yet and he would have been allowed to stay until the end of the year.

Sloan may have also been allowed to hold on until the end of the year if we had shown offensive success

Absolutely would not have been fired and the bullshite suffering would have continued as usual. Graduate champions, complimentary football, We have to coach better, and then continue to put the same shite on the field week after week. The football gods stepped in and saved LSU football. That’s what happened here, don’t frick with LSU football. Rant over.

Yes, still fired. The decision to part ways with BK was made well before that game. There’s more to it than just the team’s poor play this season and that loss.

That IMO was the worst trait of Brian Kelly. It is a travesty to NOT disclose injuries. Why? Because fans start to dump on the player (not that this forum ever ever does that) Fans say "the player is lazy"...."the player has no talent"...."the player is just going through the motions", etc, etc, etc I have never understood why coaches LIE about injuries. Fans resent it and more importantly the players suffer because their character is questioned, etc. And Kelly is one of the worst I've seen about that...Nussmeier the perfect example.

The upswell was already there and the @Bama in two weeks just magnifies it.

I think the 3rd quarter debacle pretty much sealed it.

Worst 3rd quarter I can recall seeing for some time. Him humping up and down the sidelines screaming at his coaches didn’t help. The time to scream is BEFORE bad things happen.

He would have been fired week 14.

The shite show saturday & team quitting on him caused a Week 9 fire

maybe not but I agree with you. The first chance that they had to run him they were. A close loss may have not been enough. That shite Saturday was plenty

The way that game went down was a carbon copy of Bama last year. The demeanor, cussing out of assistants, look of desperation, empty stadium.

If we lose a competitive game then we accept it and move on. The complete meltdown and desperation is what sealed it. A pattern of asswhooping at home at night against your biggest conference foes and you look completely lost.

I think herbstreet saying I’ve never seen Tiger Stadium so empty and quiet. Said it about 4 times. Because TV really wasn’t showing the emptiness of the stadium.

If he signed Bryce Underwood BK would still be the coach. And, Bryce would have been playing for an injured Nuss.
