Just got an email from Dem central. Gavin is concerned that he's being portrayed as a left winger. He's writing a book to fix that. He was born into a poor family and pulled himself up by his bootstraps. He was drawn to a life of public service.
He had zero interest in running for President. However, the shocking extremes that this Trump presidency taken us to requires him to step in and try to fix things while there is still a chance to save our democracy.
Sounds like a best seller, doesn't it?

I dont know how true it is, apparently the current story is Newsom grew up with his poor mother (for how long?). Unsure how his relationship with his father was but we all know the Getty fortune is how he and his father have done very well.
