Every time you go down a street named after MLK there is always some violence going on- Chris Rock

MLK in Houma might be the safest MLK boulevard in the country.
However, if we’re going to post about every shooting at every shopping center in Louisiana, then the O-T is going to be nothing but reports of random shootings everyday.

Houma’s MLK is like Veterans in Metairie or Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette, all the good stores and restaurants are there and even jmarto’s Hooters is on the strip and in front of the Walmart where it happened.

Damn..I remember back in 2004 or 2003, a man went to the old portrait studio in the general merchandise entrance and shot this partner in the portrait studio and fled.
Walmart tried to isolate the incident by closing the entrance and keep the store open, but eventually management gave up and closed the store for the night.
They arrested the shooter at a local motel on New Orleans Boulevard and the SWAT team rolled out.

I’ve been to that Walmart. I’m surprised there aren’t more shootings. If you don’t get shot you’ll get in a wreck on MLK trying to leave.
