Chicken is one of those "first call" dudes. Someone in the AD is probably told, "Let Chicken know that X, Y and Z are true and that all that crazy shite A, B, and C are bullshite so he can keep the insanity down to minimum over there."
Probably treated as a peer to WBRZ, or the major guys covering the team (OTB, Moscona, etc.)

I think it’s obvious that the decision was made to make changes if we got blown out at home by A&M ahead of time. Chicken opened the board as soon as the game was over.

Chicken is the anonymous donor footing the bill. He knew

Just watch the 2nd half. We all knew.

I'm not so sure. This feels like a decision was made during the game. During the 3rd quarter (one of the worst quarters of football LSU has played in my lifetime - up there with the 3rd quarter on October 9, 1993 - "Never forget" - which was also in Tiger Stadium).
Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm with Moscona - there was no appetite to buy out the contract on Friday and that appetite developed during the 2nd half of the game. I've never seen things like this move this quickly. I thought the Miles getting fired, then getting carried off the field and unfired, then fired again the next season was strange.
This wasn't strange. It was sudden and shocking.

I disagree. We as fans were so caught up in the idea that firing Kelly now was too soon due to how high the buyout was but like I said a week or so ago (and got downvoted like I was retarded), LSU wouldn’t have given him that buyout if they didn’t have the ability to pay it. Reality was that the athletic department was growing just as impatient with Kelly as we were and the Vanderbilt game was probably their line before their red line. When we got blown out at home at night, staff changes became mandatory. Kelly was dumb enough to not agree to them and got canned himself because of it.
It was a long time coming for both fans and the athletic department. For once, there was alignment between fans and the powers that be on an LSU coach.

We're just going to disagree, then. I think the staff changes are a red herring. I think he was going to sacrificially offer Sloan (and Davis) and the decision had already been made. "Well, we are going to let Sloan go, but you're going with him."
What is being alleged isn't a 5 to 10-minute meeting - it's 30 mins to an hour or so. A 5-minute meeting is:
SW: "Hey, we appreciate what you've done, but we're going in a different direction. Are you going to be negotiable on the buyout?"
BK: "Talk to my agent and lawyers. Nice to have worked with you Scott."

It was actually open within an hour of the game ending Saturday night

I heard the $ was secured prior to the game and depending on the outcome would be deployed.

Let's be honest the coaching board could have went live September 7th.

Or the entire site was calling for it to open and it coincided with one of the biggest asskickings in our programs history and embarrassing aftermath of them taking over our stadium.
Either way chicken is savvy enough to open it.

The simplest and most likely answer.
Chicken has the board to keep all if the talk off of the other boards (as much as possible).
At minimum, rumors were going to fly and the rant was going to be overwhelmed by this one topic.
