What current coach is most like Mike Leach? Personality and offensive minded.

Lane is the biggest troll since Leach. No doubt.

The hearts and admiration of football fans everywhere. He didn't have a chance to coach at a school like LSU, fyi. But you're probably a Les Miles lover, a fan that will take one NC over 12 years from a oddly, quirky coach that has the most talented players but can't manage a game clock.

There will be only 1 Mike Leach.

I didn't care who he was coaching for, I would watch one of his press conferences for pure entertainment. He would usually end up on some philosophical tangent that had nothing to do with football. Or he might start giving you a lesson on the history of pirates. One time he did a deep dive on which live animal versions of teams mascots would win in a fight.

Damn, I think I'm off to YouTube to watch some Mike Leach highlights.

Leach wasn't really a troll, at least not in the common Internet sense. He would just say what was on his mind or allow a question to take him off on a tangent. That was just how his brain was wired.

Lane purposely posts/says/does things to get people talking or to get under someone's skin.

Dan Holgersen was offensive coordinator for Leach at TT. He became the head coach at West Virginia and had a successful run before one bad year. Now, he is the offensive coordinator at Nebraska and one of the best in the country.
