Let's just say for shits and giggles, that Saban throws his name out there. Would we actually want him? Would he be able to handle NIL, Woodward, Landry and the fans before he says frick it after a year? I know...first loves are tough to say no to, but I am thinking let's not. Now, I would vote for him for AD in a heartbeat.

Saban is retired and wealthy. Give it up!

Saban is done coaching. All of you soap opera wrestling fans with the low IQ can just stop with the hypothetical BS.

He’s not coaching again, we need to stop with this pipe dream.

If he wants to assist in our search I’m all for it, as we could really use his input assuming he doesn’t sabotage us.

We have to get this next hire right, so you gotta make him say no out of due diligence.

With that said, odds are extremely, extremely low this happens.

No. If Saban does indeed do that, it would be a complete 180 of what he was which totally obsessed and only focuses on coaching football. You would be getting an entirely different version of the Saban from even two yrs ago, much less the one that won his title 6 yrs ago

I cant name one coach NFL or college who came out of retirement and did nearly as good as they did the first time around. Throw in the fact he is 9 yrs older than Kelly, and no way.

Saban quit because he couldn’t win in the NIL era. But he’d be on my short list for the AD

If, and that's a big if, Saban were to coach again

quote:

NIL

He would hire a GM to handle this and the portal like Andrew Luck is doing for Stanford.

quote:

Woodward,

If he survives should worship the ground Saban walks on.

quote:

Landry

Would get told to kick rocks, and would be embarrassed in a public pissing match with Saban,

quote:

the fans

Has done it before, and survived damn near 20 years at Alabama, I think he will be okay.

I'm ashamed to be the same species as some of the people on the board.
