Do you feel it is still safe to travel to Cabo?

The purported messages, signed by a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel known as La Chapiza, threatened violence against U.S. citizens living in or visiting the popular tourist destination. Photos of the banners circulated widely across social media, though authorities in Baja California Sur say investigators found no trace of them.

I definitely wouldn't visit knowing that. It's like asking for trouble

Just go to San Antonio if you want a MX experience.

I would go to Cabo any day, any time.

Yes. Cabo is still a very safe place. While there is increased cartel violence happening across mx, unless you go looking for it, you probably won’t find it. They have increased the marines, federal and municipal cops presence in the area to help keep the area protected. I’ve ubered all over and spend most of my time in the towns and highly suggest to others to do the same other than sitting at your resort. I also love sketchy taco joints so I’ll ask ny Ubers where they eat and to take me there. No one really cares other than you might get charged gringo prices which doesn’t really matter because it’s cheap.
Tourism is what is growing billions of dollars in investment in Cabo. You can bet they will do everything in their power to keep it safe and keep the money coming in. For another reference, look at all the massive yachts in the bay and the harbor. Most of those multimillionaires will tell you the same thing I am. I tell everyone heading down there #turnoffthenewsandgotravel

Guess you won't go visit the White House, Lincoln Memorial, or Arlington National Cemetery either.

He'd crap his pants in Rome, whenever there is a big Catholic event. APCs parked on side streets, semi auto rifles on most of the cops, etc.

I've never been to any place where THIS was a even a remote possibility - not even in Africa. Hey guys, how was that trip to Cabo? Oh it was absolutely fabulous - if you don't count the dead bodies swinging from the overpass on the way in or the scumbags on the beach in broad daylight trying to constantly sell us hard drugs and underage girls.
The truth is, it's safe to travel almost anywhere. Even the most dangerous spot on earth, it's highly unlikely something actually happens to YOU. But the OP is asking about relative danger, obviously. There's plenty other non-shitholes to consider other than Cabo.
Comparing the White House - a prominent symbol of the biggest empire on earth which houses the top representative of that empire and so which might naturally be expected to be treated as a quasi-military target - with ordinary streets in an ordinary town is just dumb.

These people always make me LOL. My wife and I went to Cabo when she was 8 months pregnant. Had a fabulous trip. (I did pay for the medevac insurance on that one though)

This is an awful troll job... just awful. At leat don't make stuff up when you're trying to make a point.
My neighbor lives in Cabo 8 months out of the year and says she feels 100% more safe down there than she does here in Houston.

I walked right by them. That particular occasion was the opening of some kind of door that only gets opened every few years. It was in early December 2015 based on my pictures.
You seem to have me confused with someone who makes shite up to feel better about myself, or gives a damn about you or any board personality in particular.

That almost certainly is fake news.
Americans, residents and tourist, are excellent customers that pay treble the going rate....for anything.
