Covid sucked but we need to evaluate a few programs.

These are the top 5 in a decline since Covid.

1. TCU - in 2022 they made a semi final but now are an afterthought.

2. Clemson- just doesn’t seem like they have any momentum. Making the playoffs last year doesn’t seem to help.

3. Michigan - riding high from a recent championship but doesn’t feel like they’ll make another playoff without more expansion

4. Oklahoma - feels lost. So much talent but starting to lose their national pulse

5. LSU- Burrow brought that boom but the boom is over. Nothing left to feel gleeful about. Bout time to rename Death Valley.

5. LSU

We’re just in our usual ebb/flow of the last 25 years. This isn’t even too low a low compared to the 90s. We’re only 3 years removed from playing for an SEC title and 2 years removed from a heisman qb.

I feel like it’s the Kevin Faulk era. Soon you’ll get a QB who brings you back that’s why you’re at 5

Can add my beloved Stanford to the list. They were 4-2 in the COVID and have gone like 3-9 every year since, and are now a desiccated corpse of a football program. Hopefully GM Andrew Luck can turn it around. We need another Harbaugh.

So you have a team that made it to the semi finals, and a team that won a National Championship AFTER covid, but they’re on the decline since covid?

I gotta plead ignorance on this, because it makes no sense.

I’m pretty sure TCU won the semifinal game and made it to the championship.

Stanford?

The transfer portal/NIL era doesn't seem to favor Stanford. It's too hard to transfer to Stanford and the tech billionaires may not give to football.

TCU and Michigan have literally had their best seasons in 75 years since 2020. I could not think of a team more deserving to be removed from that list than Michigan.

LSU or OU should head that list. Hell, if you want the worst results since 2020 compared to the decade or two before its easily Alabama. Two loss seasons would put them at the top of that list as they had by far, the farthest to fall.

Not every school can play a 12 game regular season schedule without facing a single currently ranked opponent...
