Loved that theory of Saban as AD but I don’t see that really happening. He is happy with retirement and I don’t see him taking a full time job or going back to coaching.

But he did say he loved LSU and he says it was a mistake leaving here in the first place.

Come back and bring a level of professionalism to this search as an analyst and advisor.

He could give LSU the nod as respect to his first natty by assisting us, but not going all in and messing with his legacy he has at Bama.

And Saban’s coaching tree is one of the most impressive there was.

Only if he picks himself to coach LSU.

Saban, while still loving LSU, is not going to do that to Alabama. I understand the fans in Baton Rouge love him, but it's just not going to happen. The man still has an office in Tuscaloosa.

Such a lazy response.

Saban literally hired Kiffin and whooped his arse into shape. Kiffin is poised to be the highest paid coach by EOY.

Numerous other marquee coaches have learned and come from Saban’s tree..

Saban works for Alabama so I’m guessing there might be a small conflict of interest

The dude quit this era of college football. If we still want to love this game, we need to move on from the old guard.

Saban is still being paid by Bama as an official advisor, he’s not going to help in our search.

I am sure he would have ideas but it won’t happen, the Houston Nutt thing is dumb, you never let a man pick his own successor for a reason. And I think the quote was when they asked him who to hire he simply said he had the most trouble preparing for Houston Nutt, he was out the door and didn’t give a chit who we hired.

I still believe Nick set us up in case he changed his mind and wanted to come back.

That fricker bad mouthed us to every recruit, pillaged our back yard, then raped us for years with those players. You think he helps LSU with no Bama still in him? One more for the road?. I don’t trust that fricker.
All jokes aside I do respect him for what he accomplished, and love him for what he brought to LSU.

...and hope he chooses himself as the successor. Finish what he started here with no distractions from the NFL.
