Good. Halo should be available for those who prefer Sony and Final Fantasy games should be available for those who prefer Microsoft. Elder Scrolls titles should be available for everyone, regardless of Microsoft buying out Bethesda.
If Bethesda has gone full-wike on ES6, we should all get to suffer equally and mock them mercilessly.
ETA: and for the love of GOD, Sony... Please allow more fricking mods and join the 21st Century. Some of us still prefer PlayStation simply because we don't want to give globohomo neo-Malthusian misanthrope Bill Gates any more money than he already has.

Thankfully my cousins endured that harsh lesson so I didn't have to.
I can honestly say that I've been exclusively a PlayStation guy since I bought my first one in 1995 and have never owned an Xbox.
