Kelly was as solid of a hire at the time as you could find. He won more games than anybody, had made it to 2 NC’s but wasn’t able to push through because of inferior talent, the only HC to be hired away from the CFB mecca that is ND.

The reality is there is no pie in the sky hire to be made. Lane is the best you’ll get, yet he’s shite on because “he hasn’t won anything” meanwhile the person not named Saban who had one the most led us to this point.

Stop expecting it to be a big name unless the name is Kiffin.

The point I’m making is I think it’s just as likely to be a coordinator from a successful program as it is to be a “big fish” well known name in CFB
