Will Blake Baker end up like Matt House ?

Good his first year then bad his second year.
Difference is Matt House had nothing to work with in his second year.

As bad as the defense has been recently bakers defense is still much better than what Matt House put on the field.

I think some of the defensive issues also the frustration with the offense and being in the field 70+ plays every damn game. But lately, a dual threat is unstoppable from this defense. No excuse.

He should be. He has better players than what Matt House had his second year.
The defense this year has been getting worse and worse to me. The more games we have played the worse we have gotten.

The start of the 2nd half was a huge disappointment by him and the defense. LSU had the momentum and the lead going into the 2nd. If there was ever a time for a defensive stand and a 3 & out, it was the start of the 2nd. Instead, A&M molested the defense, and the game was over.

The D is not good. The linebackers over persue and under perform.

Injuries. Losing reliford and whit have hurt this defense substantially from what we had earlier this year. We were never a top 10 defense and were propped up by the opponents, but with these two specifically we would have been much better.

The DL and LBs have regressed.Weeks is to slow and Perkins DGAF, He just Stands there not doing anything even when he could help on a tackle. Something had to have happened behind the scenes early this season for this team to completely implode.Was Ryan in the locker room?

Blake Baker is given entirely too much shite. The LSU offense is one of the most inept in all of college football. The defense is tired AF, no doubt.

There is film on what Baker does. Did you watch AnM in the second half, 10 yards a play and just taking apart his D brick by brick. Nothing he could do about it.

Honestly, A&M threw the ball too much in the first half. They were whopping the defenses arse right out of the gate.

It was stupid to hire a DC who can’t scheme to stop running QB’s in this era of college football. But that’s Brian Kelly for you.

Linebackers are bad too small and have no instincts. The older Weeks is not an SEC caliber player player and Whit Weeks is always hurt and frequently runs himself out of the play. Baker has been a major disappointment

The defense gave up a 41 yard run for a TD to the QB the first possession of the game. Were they tired then? Blake Baker sucks.
