The LSU brand took a hit last night

The last quarter was a promo video for aggy. They beat our arse in prime time on ABC, and cameras caught the empty stadium and aTm takeover. This has happened before, last year with Bama, but you could always shrug your shoulders and say, “well, Bama does that to us” or whatever.
The Tiger Stadium tradition is on life support. Night games in Death Valley are overrated by the media. I absolutely hate it, but it’s true. We’ve had conference games recently against South Carolina, Arkansas, etc. that have been close, and the place is still emptying out after half. Yes, part of this is a spoiled fanbase, but that doesn’t fly for last night.
Between getting bombed on national TV, to the violence on campus, to a bumbling governor taking shots (rightfully so) at our ticket price increases. Man, we are hurting right now. And we can’t fall back onto a good hoops team to lift our spirits.
Last night exposed a lot of shite, the least of which is a shitty QB and OLine.

For these reasons LSU doesn’t really deserve a good program. With the game being more transactional than ever, why would we expect players, coaches, prospective students to want to be a part of this? Take a trip to other schools and see what they’ve got going for them. It doesn’t compare.

Last night exposed how bad the entire Football program, and culture, is.
Last night was a total, and complete, embarrassment.
In my mind, after witnessing that, you simply can’t keep Brian Kelly as coach one single day longer.
The process of healing doesn’t begin until he is gone.

I would like to direct you to 5-5 and 6-7... Before Kelly got to LSU.

I was thinking the same thing last night. It was not just the football team stinking it up, LSU as a whole was embarrassed when they were showing Aggie playing their fight song, and no talk, just showing that scene in our stadium was like the news showing some hostile group overthrowing some 3rd world government. And having it be Aggie makes it that much worse.
However, i will still be pulling for my Tigers, as always

And Herbstreit and Fowler were highlighting it. They make sure people saw.

You don’t get it.
A&M made Tiger Stadium their home last night. They owned that stadium. That was total humiliation at the end of the game. A Complete Humiliation and step on the throat by a program that we’ve never respected.
You don’t overcome that type of humiliation with Kelly still in charge.

It’s cyclical
One good hire and this is just a speed bump, NIL world has changed everything

You can talk about the teams poor performance but DV was on its way to another haunted night for the opposing team. Fans upheld their end of the deal.

I’m usually the first one to call out our fans, but I wouldn’t have hung around. I did stay until the end of Bama last year. I think a lot of us knew the mystique was dying. Case in point, 2010 Tennessee. That was an ugly arse game against a lowly SEC opponent, but it was still pretty packed when Ridley hammered in the TD on the extra play.
When you factor in an early leaving crowd with growing frustration around a coach, throw in losses and poor performance, it is an all out culture issue.
In NIL era, it can be changed quickly, but we need to nail the hire.

I won’t blame the fans for last night’s environment at the end. Students? Sure, don’t let the opposing students waltz right in. I’m convinced you can show some resistance without throwing punches and being a social media clown.

This has been the case for YEARS. Fans leave early and only show up for the biggest games. I’ve always thought that night games with fans drinking all day resulted in a bunch wanting to pass out by the 3rd quarter. And if the playoffs are off the table, no one cares.

Let’s not fall into the trap of “anyone but the current guy”
We did it with Miles and got Orgeron, who won a natty but eventually tanked the program. We did it with Orgeron and got Kelly, who is currently tanking the program.

Two bad years in 20 prior to Kelly! COVID and Politics had a lot to do with those years, and a little race-baiting arse clown from ESPN!

I thought the fans showed up last night. It was a better showing than I was expecting, really respect the folks that went. The fans can’t play the game too. The team needs to give the fans something to cheer about. Last night was just pitiful. I don’t know how Kelly recovers from that. Another 20+ point loss to bama and Kelly needs to just step down.

If any opposing fans had entered the student section when I was there, they would have had a short stay. Ridiculous.

Absolutely. The same when I was there. We would have beaten the hell out of them!

No one wants a revolving door of coaches. It’s a program killer, just ask Florida.
But… with that said….. It’s over for Kelly. Over. If you can’t see it then you are blind.
Kelly has lost the team, the fans, & the media. There’s no coming back from this. It’s now only a matter of time before he’s officially gone.

Looong time season ticket holder..
left before the players once in my lifetime before last night.,
Yeah we looked like we did not want to be professional team on the field… that was why I left at end of third quarter for the first time in my life..
Wanted to make it very clear to LSU that I did not support this product..
And for people saying we should stay .. the team and coaches are still out there playing.. hmmm sorta … they are out there getting paid ..pay me 4 milllion a year and I will sit out there also..
