26 free throws in a game is ridiculous, and he wonders why he’s hated

Officiating has ruined the NBA. That game had 91 FTs combined for both teams (and 70 fouls!). Ridiculous.

Foul Baiting is a winning skill in today's NBA

Imagine if Zion learned how to draw nuanced fouls like SGA does. I think we'd be applauding it and probably be winning more games.

It's a tough watch, but winning in any way possible would be a better watch than usual for us.

I had to look up the most FTs in a game. The record is 39 attempts (LINK

I didn't watch the game. But it was a double OT game and he played 45 minutes. Could some of those fouls have been intentional?

After the way you see Zion officiated and the arrest of Terry Rozier, not sure I can watch this shite anymore.

I would still complain because it is trash to watch and whack. But you know like every other Pelican fan knows that Zion gets hit a lot and the fouls don't get called. He is on the hack a shaq lite treatment.

I mean, no he's not. Hack a Shaq was intentionally fouling him, to force him to shoot FTs, cause he was so bad at them. They are just beating up Zion, with him not getting calls that he should.

Maybe you meant this as Shaq didn't get calls he should have. But there is a bit of a double edge sword there, that might fit a bit with Zion as well. Shaq was a physical player that sought and played off contact. He launched himself at and into other players. He needed to rub defenders to work off and create his shot. Zion does a bit of that too. When you seek that out and initiate it, where as almost all other players avoid contact, it's hard to officiate. I'm not making excuses, but we can't act like it's normal or we want the refs to take away his advantage by making it too restrictive..

I would actually stop watching, i want to watch an enjoyable fun team, there’s nothing enjoyable or fun about the way SGA plays

I would be excited if they just called the obvious fouls. He gets manhandled because he drives to the basket so often. However, because of his size and physicality, he gets nowhere near the calls he should. If he were officiated like SGA, he may average 25-30 FTs a night.

I don't need him to get a shite ton of calls. Just get called fairly in the final 5 minutes like most stars do.

The issue is smaller players get touch fouls called, whole bigger guys who initiate contact at times they unfairly allow equal to worse contact back without issues.

It's better to be a crafty guard who can bait, rather than a big man who initiates contact

Fears needs to take flopping class and pull out all the stops against OKC.
