love perk but this is facts he keeps our defense in 4-3 when we have nickel personnel

Why are we not in nickel with Perk being 1 of the 2 LBs?

And it’s not close esp with the injuries upfront and at lb. With whit being banged up switching to nickel and goin 4-2-5 should be the adjustment. Lean into the backend being the strength of your defense

It’s truly what we should be running esp against teams with multiple good pass catchers like A&M. It was laughable baker tried running a 4-3 agasint ole miss’s explosive group of receivers

Issue is any team we have to have 3 lbs to stop the run, we will be f against the pass, bc keys and wes can't cover. Ole miss, vandy, atm, bama, ou. Sooo yeah. Outside runs, throws to te, throws ror 5-7 in our soft lb zones. Ole miss and vandy did it all day. Wes and keys cant go sideline to sideline like sec lbs, and cant cover

They may be amoung the slowest LB pairings in the sec guys just run away from them. The rep where weeks tried running down Chambliss and chambliss just ran away from him was a prime example . Watching them try to operate in coverage is painful

They need to run nickel with Perkins at LBer and be done with it. He can tackle bigger guys and A&M doesn’t have huge RBs.
Until this week, they had one of the best defenses in the nation. They still do talent wise although injuries have been problematic.
Moving out Keys and replacing with a slot DB is what they needed to do. They didn’t and Keys got abused.
We will see what happens moving forward.

I’d bring down Haulcy with Perkins and put Spears as the other safety.

Wholeheartedly agree to everything you just said if you keep trying the same thing and it’s ineffective that’s the definition of insanity. You cannot run the keys, Perkins and weeks trio vs A&M you will absolutely get shredded keys is not there from an athelticism standpoint he just isn’t. Replace him with woodland at nickel and let perk and weeks be your two LB’s. Great DC’s make adjustments when personnel isn’t working the 3 lb pairing has gotten exploited every single time we faced a dynamic passing attack it doesn’t work

He's a great pass rusher. He's terrible at remembering and/or excecuting his job on any given play if it's not him just going after the qb. He repeatedly cost us last weekend.

Keys got abused? How do someone get abused and rated top 3 on defense lol, other than the out route you can’t even say he got abused. Mighty funny the one player they went after and abused rated bottom 5 but it’s the one that was rated top 3 on defense lol people have no clue what they are taking about and it shows

PFF is not the Bible tho. Keys has been a clear liability in other games he’s been in outside the Florida game. The eye test shows he has clear speed limitations

Yet teams haven’t went after him like perk, which the eye in the sky shows. Other than the Clemson game, teams went at him. If speed was a big issue teams would throw at him more down the field, which teams havent and film shows that. Why Vandy didn’t throw the wheel on him when it’s was one on one with him? So y’all eyes see that but the OCs dont lol cmon really
