Actively rooting for food stamp/WIC to expire overnight

It's one thing to root for food stamp reform. Few things in life are more frustrating than being in line behind somebody at the store buying a bunch of junk food and soft drinks with a food stamp card.
But actively rooting for food stamps and WIC benefits to expire next month seems pretty heartless and questionable, WIC especially...
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) serves four main groups: pregnant women, postpartum women, infants, and children up to age 5.
Based on WIC participation data, a majority of the participants are children and infants:
Children (Ages 1-5) and Infants typically make up about 70-75% of all WIC participants.
For example, a USDA report on WIC eligibility for calendar year 2020 showed that:
Total Children (Ages 1-4): accounted for about 52.8% of all participants.
Infants (Under age 1): accounted for about 24.5% of all participants.
...Here's the data for food stamps:
Based on data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service for fiscal year 2023, children accounted for about 39 percent of all Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants (formerly known as food stamps).
...How do you punish lazy and sorry parents who are shitty with money? There are basically two options – take their welfare beneifts away or take their children away and put them in foster care?
Neither is the answer. I don't know what the answer is. It's complicated, basically. But, actively rooting for food stamps and WIC to expire next month and for their to be chaos sure as frick isn't the answer.

It’s some 3rd world shite

What if this was the plan all along? That would be some next level 3D chess.
I will say for the elderly and disabled folks I hope it does not expire.

Give them two years to get their shite right. If they don’t then take the kids and place them in foster care or some other avenue and put the parents in work programs with people of the same sex so they can’t procreate anymore.

I get you UGA retards confused, are you the one who said it was simple to make a thanksgiving meal for 8 for under 25 dollars?

Usually it is unintended consequences that end up fricking over the people doing right in this situation.
Everyone wanted a plague until we got one and fricked the economy for a decade.

Disagree. Constantly rewarding the worst of society for spitting out more kids that they raise poorly to continue the cycle is definitely not the answer.

No it’s not. But doing it is not for the faint of heart.

A bunch of people aren't getting paid and other services are being withheld, so pardon me if I'm not getting up in arms that the takers are having some issues. I have empathy for the situation they will be in, but I also pay shite tons of taxes for very little in return lately.

Sounds like the moral and Christian thing to do!

The cure ended up worse than the disease, and many of the "people in charge" should be tried for treason.

Trumps America is not just petty, has a nice cruel streak in there as well.

It's hard to post something like I did without coming across as better than thou and taking the moral highground. Not what I was going for though, promise.

It would result in a loss in revenue for farmers as well.

Were you saying this before Trump won?
